  Team Development

The workplace is being revolutionized by the transition to team-based work systems. Increasingly, organizations are moving to team models based upon their level of readiness. TMA has been a leader in this revolution, offering two options:

Process Focused Associate Teams: Under this model, associates are trained to work in their work groups as natural teams. These natural teams are given additional daily requirements to focus on error cause and system improvement. The supervisor continues as team facilitator, and teams receive training to enhance team and process improvement skills.

Self-Managed Associate Teams: TMA facilitates the journey to self-managed teams. Elements of transition to this may entail:
  • assessment of readiness.
  • supervisory training.
  • management training.
  • team level training.
  • planning.
  • audit, measurement and tracking.
