Human Resources Management and Administration (formerly HR Assistant)
This three-week course is designed for individuals who are new to Human Resource management or who are responsible for Human Resource administration. This course provides participants with an understanding of the human resource function and its professional role within an organization. The program focuses on policy structure and administration, legal and regulatory compliance with state and federal laws, managing consistently and effective documentation. This course meets one day per week for three weeks.

- NC Wage and Hour Law
- Equal Employment Laws
- Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
- Immigration / I-9 Issues
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
- Miscellaneous NC State Laws
- WARN Act
- Behavioral Theories/Personnel Policies
- Due Process/Documentation
Participants will receive the Employers’ Desk Manual pertaining to Federal Laws and either North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, or Virginia.
